Welcome To The Richmond Synchro Family
We know what it means to be a skating family in Richmond — juggling schedules, cheering from the sidelines, and wanting the best for your child. Aspire 2 was created with those values in mind: strong community, steady progress, and a love of skating.
Why Aspire 2 Is the Ideal Next Step
If your child has completed Basic 4–6 or is mastering forward/backward skating with control, Aspire 2 may be the perfect fit. This team is built for skaters with early foundational skills who are ready to:
- Advance beyond beginner elements
- Learn more sophisticated formations
- Gain confidence through performance
It’s also ideal for Aspire 1 graduates or Learn to Skate skaters seeking more structured growth without jumping straight into competitive travel teams.

What to Expect In A Syncho Skating Season
Aspire 2 offers a thoughtfully balanced season:
Weekly on-ice practices developing edge control, timing, and transitions
Off-ice sessions to build core strength, flexibility, and synchronization
Participation in regional and Travel events like the South Atlantic Synchro Open and Reflections Invitational, where they skate in front of enthusiastic crowds and supportive judges
The team dives deeper into choreography with more dynamic elements, including wheels, pass-throughs, and synchronized dance transitions.
Skills & Progressions in Aspire 2
At Aspire 2, skaters begin learning what it means to move and think as a team. They build:
- Enhanced spatial awareness and flow
- Precision in edge work and directional changes
- Introduction to music interpretation and unison
- Preparation for next-tier teams like Aspire 3 or Pre-Juvenile
Next Steps Pathway:
- Aspire 1 → Aspire 2 → Aspire 3
- Aspire 2 → Pre-Juvenile → Sectional-eligible teams
This is where raw skill starts to meet artistry.
